Conrad's 2nd Birthday Party {Birthday Chronicles}

I can't believe my baby boy is 2 years old. He's so energetic, smart, inquisitive, and funny. He's not speaking many words yet but we are prepping for speech therapy soon. I cut the invite list way down on this party because I decided to have it here at home and was worried about having room.

I either made all the decorations or printed them here at home and it was so much fun!

Around 18 months, Conrads favorite show was Paw Patrol and so I decided then we would go with that theme. He got so many good presents, it's going to take awhile to play with all of them!

We even called in our local ice cream truck to treat all the kids at the party!!

 I knew I wanted to attempt the cake, but I am an amateur so it was pretty intimidating. I baked a 9x11 cake and then 3 round cakes. Of each round cake, I had to cut a 4th out of each portion of the cake out and that actually created the last round edge I needed. I used 2 different techniques to get the icing as smooth as possible. I used the Viva paper towel technique and also, the hot water technique. I piped on the edging and very carefully wrote on it. I bought a Paw Patrol busy book because I needed the characters and I wanted Conrad to be able to play with them after the party. The characters are miniature, which was great so they weren't too heavy and fall through my cake. I am pretty proud of how it turned out!!!

 Once I realized how easy and satisifying it is to make pinatas, I have never looked back!
 For Conrads shirt, I bought a plain white shirt and iron on vinyl sheets. I found an Etsy seller that created the design for me and I printed it out at home.

I printed out Conrads birthday invitations after I found another Etsy seller to create them!
